MEET CHRIS WEATHERHEAD – SAG – AFTRA – AEA
Chris has been a leading lady in theater, film and TV for over thirty years in New York, Hollywood and around the U.S. and on both coasts. Chris is from Southern California and trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London, the American Rep Theatre (NYC), A.C.T. in San Francisco.
Ms. Weatherhead co-starred as The Wife for two years in the smash Off-Broadway hit, Table Settings, by James Lapine for which she received rave reviews from all major U.S. media. She starred in the feature film, All For Liberty, Whatever It Takes and guest starred in many primetime TV series including Sinatra, Dallas, Equal Justice, Night Court, Our Family Honor, Moonlighting, etc.
For Daytime Television, Chris starred as the evil Alicia Van Dine, for two years on ABC’s "The Edge of Night" and played recurring roles in five other Daytime Series.
Chris directed, co-starred, co-wrote and co-produced the multiple award-winning feature film, “All For Liberty”, which was named one of the “Top Ten Revolutionary War Movies” by the Journal of the American Revolution and has won nine international film festival awards. The film also won three national historical awards [Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution]. She has also produced and/or directed award-winning shorts for Actors' Theatre of South Carolina's Movie Camp while training new filmmakers.
Chris Co-Founded Actors' Theatre of South Carolina with veteran actor husband, Clarence Felder, producing 78 productions and performing many roles including Mary, in her play, "Mary Chesnut’s War For Independence!" and portrayed Mary Chesnut for C-SPAN's American Writer’s Series.
She also created the role of Rebecca Brewton Motte in “Rebecca & The Fox” for Piccolo Spoleto, in Charleston, South Carolina. She directed many productions which have been chosen to perform at the Piccolo Spoleto Theater Festival in Charleston, SC.
