Mister Poe's Nightmares
compiled and directed by Clarence Felder, starring professional actor, Lee O. Smith, as the
tortured poet, and ATSC founders and theatre, film and television veterans,
Clarence Felder and Chris Weatherhead as various characters in his nightmares.
Mr. Smith has been a professional actor for over fifteen years
and played The Captain in ATSC's Piccolo Spoleto hit of 1998, GOERING AT NUREMBURG.

Edgar Allan Poe is still one of the greatest purveyors of spine-chilling ghostly images and
he's one of Charleston's most famous writers. Poe lived as a boy in Charleston with his
actress mother, Eliza Poe, who after a great season of Charleston theatre, contracted
consumption and died. This and other tragedies marked his life. Many of his famous poems
are steeped in southern imagery. Haunting poems and stories such as Lygia, Annabelle Lee,
and The Telltale Heart are dished up to reveal dark places of human souls, as well as a
portion of "Poe's Mother," by another great Charleston poet, Beatrice Ravenel.
MISTER POE'S NIGHTMARES is available to be performed in any theatre, museum, hotel,
historic home or any other gathering place.
